This book is a personal diary of James Burney, a British naval officer and explorer, who served as the second lieutenant of the Adventure, the companion ship of the Resolution, on James Cooks second voyage to the Antarctic and Pacific regions. It was edited by Beverley Hooper, a Australian historian and librarian. It provides a vivid and detailed account of the voyage, the discoveries, the encounters, and the hardships, as well as Burneys opinions and observations. It was published by National Library of Australia in 1975 and has 112 pages.
