The Skin is Deep is a novel by Hans Hofmeyer, a Danish writer and diplomat. The novel explores the themes of race, prejudice, love, and violence in South Africa during the apartheid era. It follows the lives of a white journalist, a black activist, and a mixed-race woman who are caught up in a turbulent situation. The novel was published by Secker and Warburg in London in 1958 and has 238 pages. Additional remarks: pages has mild tanning. Previous owner’s name to fore and bottom edges.
