The book also includes biographies of prominent and influential Victorians, such as politicians, businessmen, artists, scientists, and explorers. The book was published by The Cyclopedia Company Publishers Melbourne in 1903, 1904 and 1905. The books are bound in the original dark green cloth boards and in half leather which is rubbed and chipped at the edges.There are lined gilt decorations on the edges, and a gilt title on the spine. The boards are rubbed and stained. Marbled effect edges and endpapers.
