This two-volume set, published by Caxton Press: Nuttal, Fisher, and Co. in 1811 and 1813, is likely a continuation or reprint of John Foxe’s seminal work “Actes and Monuments,” first published in 1563. The original work, also known as “Foxe’s Book of Martyrs,” is a significant historical record of Protestant martyrs who were persecuted for their faith during the Reformation period.
