Sexual Politics is a book by Kate Millett that is based on her PhD dissertation at Columbia University. It is a groundbreaking feminist critique of literature and social organization that exposes the systematized subjugation and exploitation of women by patriarchy. Millett analyzes how cultural discourse reflects and reinforces male dominance and female subordination, and challenges the claims of male superiority as natural or biological. She also examines the history and failures of the sexual revolution, and the counterrevolutionary forces that seek to restore traditional sex roles and values. The book was published by Rupert Hart-Davis in 1970 and reprinted in 1971. It has 393 pages. Additional remarks: Water damage to DJ, and protected by a plastic sleeve.
