This is a book by James Jervis, a historian and journalist who wrote extensively about the history of New South Wales. The book covers the history of the Berrima district, a region in the Southern Highlands of NSW, from the first European exploration in 1798 to the development of the area in the 20th century. The book also includes chapters by A.V.J. Parry, a local historian, who updated and expanded Jerviss original work. The book was published by the Library of Australian History in association with the Wingecarribee Shire Council in 1978 and is the third impression that was pubished in 1986 and has 213 pages. Contains errata and notes on page 213.
