Edward William O’Sullivan was an Australian politician who served in the Parliament of New South Wales from 1877 to 1887 and was a founder of the Australian Democratic Movement. Bruce Mansfield’s book, Australian Democrat: The Career Of Edward William O’Sullivan 1846-1910, chronicles O’Sullivan’s life and career, from his early days as a solicitor in the mid-19th century to his time as a Member of Parliament and his later work in the Australian Democratic Movement.
